Luka Doncic Leads Dallas Mavericks to Victory with Another Triple-Double

The day also saw shining Stephen Currywith 42 points in the victory of Golden State Warriors about New Orleans Pelicansalready Dejounte Murraywith a 41-point performance in the victory, including a comeback, from Atlanta Hawks contra The Minnesota Timberwolves. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum destroyed the Wizards in the American capital and led a barrage of 19 three-pointers by the Celtics, who maintained their total victory.

Brown scored 36 points, with eight three-pointers, and Tatum scored 33, with four triples. The Latvian Kristaps Porzingis, formerly of the Wizards, returned to Washington with 15 points and 6 rebounds, with 7 of 9 shooting.

The Bucks recovered after the defeat suffered at home against the Hawks, by beating the Heat, in the reissue of the first round series of the last playoffs, with 33 points and 7 rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 Damian Lillard assists.

Milwaukee’s team had a 24-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter and Miami got within 6, without being able to complete the comeback. Tyler Herro was the Heat’s best with 28 points, while Mexican Jaime Jáquez Jr contributed 8 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in 22 minutes.

Steph Curry destroyed the Pelicans with 42 points and caused the New Orleans franchise its first loss of the season. The Warriors, who were without Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga, recorded their third consecutive victory after starting the year with a loss at home against the Phoenix Suns. Curry hit seven triples on a night in which, for the Pelicans, Zion Williamson scored 19 points, but lost 5 balls.

The Lakers had to suffer until the end to beat the Magic, who arrived in Los Angeles with full victories. Jalen Suggs, who finished with 15 points, had his hands on the triple to force overtime, but missed it.

D’Angelo Russell was the protagonist with 28 points and Anthony Davis contributed a tremendous double-double of 26 points and 19 rebounds. LeBron James recorded 19 points, including a great triple in the final stretch when his team trailed by two points.

Dejounte Murray scored 41 points and, supported by Trae Young’s 24 and 8 assists, led the spectacular comeback of the Atlanta Hawks, who lost by 21 points (86-65) in the third period, and recovered against the Wolves.

After starting with two consecutive losses, the Hawks reacted forcefully and, before this Monday, beat the almighty Milwaukee Bucks as visitors.

Brooklyn Nets debuted their winning record, after the losses against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks, by beating the Hornets with 33 points from Cameron Thomas.

The Nets were ahead on the scoreboard from start to finish, supported by 24 points from Mikal Bridges and by Ben Simmons who touched the triple-double, with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Bulls recovered after their last defeat against the Pistons, when LaVine scored 51 points without a reward, and beat the Pacers on their visit in a crossroads between franchises divided by a strong rivalry in the ‘Mid-West’.

Nikola Vucevic dominated Indiana with a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, in a game in which the Bulls barely connected on 6 triples out of 17 attempts. LaVine contributed 23 points and DeRozan 20.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again led the Thunder, this time with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists that gave Oklahoma City a victory over the Pistons. Only the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champion, defeated the Thunder in four regular season games.

The Blazers added their first victory of the season, winning in Toronto with a great contribution in the paint from DeAndre Ayton, who captured 23 rebounds, 7 of them offensive. The Bahamian also scored 10 points. The Blazers’ leading scorer was Jerami Grant with 22 points.

The Raptors suffered their third consecutive loss. They started with a victory, but lost a traumatic duel in overtime against the Bulls, after blowing a 15-point lead in the last 5 minutes, and since then they have not managed to raise their heads.
