The scene is causing a buzz on social networks. Dissatisfied with the questions asked of him, Luis Enrique did not hesitate to respond sharply to Alexandre Ruiz. “It’s you who doesn’t understand anything,” the PSG coach even told the journalist. But the latter preferred to retort with humor once the Spanish technician had left the set.
After the victory against Rennes (3-1), Luis Enrique presented himself at the microphone of Free Ligue 1, and Alexander Ruiz had the bad idea of asking him a question about the details to be improved. And the coach of PSG did not like this negativity: “You only see negative things. All interviews! It is the most negative in the history of world football. One day we won 4-1 and he told me we deserved to lose.”
“It’s you who doesn’t understand anything”
Alexander Ruiz then tried to justify his question by ensuring that it was important for the young audience to understand the tactical choices. But that didn’t convince Luis Enrique. “Young people understand everything, I think it’s you who understands nothing. This is what I think of the questions you ask me,” adds the coach of PSG before leaving the stage.
“I am Mr. Negative”
After the departure of Luis Enrique, Alexander Ruiz explained his reasons for asking these questions. “Okay… It’s not simple. I also try to ask questions to go in a constructive direction and find out if there are points of detail that we can improve. (…) I am Mr. “negativo”,” assures the journalist in a tone of good humor.
