LPGA Buhai joins Lee in the lead, Boutier 5th

This Saturday morning the third round of the BMW Ladies Championship was held in South Korea. Minjee Lee and Ashleigh Buhai share the leadership chair while Céline Boutier joined the top 5.

Ashleigh Buhai returns to the top of the leaderboard. In control at the end of the first round, the South African returned a solid card of 69 (three birdies, no errors) to come back level with Minjee Lee (-12 total). Leading after 36 holes, the Australian managed to stay in first place. Despite her two bogeys in a row made at holes 12 and 13, the 27-year-old immediately bounced back by making the third birdie of her day at 15 to go back under par and sign a score of 71.

The third step of the podium (-11 total) is occupied by a duo composed of Alison Lee and Lydia Ko. The New Zealand title holder completed the course in 69 shots (four birdies, one bogey) on the occasion of this third round and remains in the race to retain his crown. At -10, Céline Boutier is also in ambush.

The native of Clamart could even have been in the lead without her two bogeys conceded on her last two holes, at 17 and 18. The three-time winner on the LPGA circuit this season still recorded a nice score of 68 thanks to her six birdies and will be able to try to get involved in the fight for victory on Sunday. She ranks 5th, alongside Lauren Coughlin.
