Louis van Gaal has not yet approached Frans Hoek for a position at Ajax. The former goalkeeper coach for the Dutch national team has worked a lot with Hoek in the past, but despite this he has not yet received a call from his old colleague who works as a technical advisor in the football capital.
“I do a lot of things, but all part-time,” Hoek initially spoke somewhat vaguely about his current work in goalkeeping at Studio Voetbal on Sunday evening. These are mainly individual projects. “Has Louis van Gaal called yet? No, he hasn’t called yet.”

Hoek does a lot of odd jobs and so there is little chance that he would be permanently employed by the Amsterdam team, even if Van Gaal were to call him in the short term. But he did not completely rule out a move to the Johan Cruijff Arena in advance. “Never say never. But the chance is not great,” says Hoek.
