‘Local Wisdom’, MotoGP Racers Watch Drag Race in Bali Before Going to Mandalika

MotoGP racer Raul Fernandez was caught watching a drag race in Bali. Raul uploaded the activity of witnessing ‘local wisdom’ on his Instagram account.

MotoGP racers have started arriving in Indonesia ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP event 13-15 October 2023. Some of them have even arrived since last week. While in Indonesia, the MotoGP racers carried out several activities.

RNF Aprilia rider Raul Fernandez, for example, was caught watching a local drag race in Bali. This is known from the upload on the Instagram account @raulfernandez_25. Raul has indeed arrived in Indonesia since last week. Raul immortalized the drag race moment on his Instagram story page without posting a comment. The exact location of the drag race is not known, but Raul tagged the location at Suwung TPA in Bali.

Apart from Raul, Pramac Ducati rider Johann Zarco has also arrived in Indonesia and is currently on holiday in the Ubud area, Bali. Jorge Martin was also observed to have arrived in Mandalika several days before the race was held. Martin actually chose to go on holiday after the Mandalika MotoGP finished.

“I just arrived in Lombok. I am very happy to have a few days to enjoy and prepare for the race. Not yet (on holiday in Bali), I will go on holiday after the race,” said Martin, quoted by ITDC Indonesia’s Instagram.

MotoGP racers are scheduled to carry out a number of activities in Mandalika before the race starts, including mingling with Mandalika residents. Apart from that, the racers will also plant coral reefs as well as clean the beaches around the Mandalika area. MotoGP riders will also hold a parade on the streets of Mataram City.
