LIV The Aces, the Crushers, the Torque and the RangeGoats in the final

Saturday evening, the semi-finals of the Team Championship, the team tournament which closes the LIV season, took place in Miami. Eight teams competed to reach the final. The Aces, the Crushers, the Torques and the RangeGoats have stamped their tickets.

Logic was respected in Florida. The final of this Team Championship 2023 will pit the four teams who scored the most points during the thirteen tournaments previously organized throughout this second season of the LIV against each other. Thus, the Torque sharply dismissed the Stinger (3-0). Joaquin Niemann and Sebastian Munoz were intractable in their respective duels against Louis Oosthuizen (2 & 1) and Branden Grace (7 & 6). Likewise, David Puig and Mito Pereira did not tremble in foursome (two pairs, one ball per duo, alternating shots) against Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester (2up).

For their part, the Crushers quickly made the difference against the Cleeks. Captain Bryson DeChambeau took responsibility by largely dominating Martin Kaymer (4 & 3) while Paul Casey also disposed of Richard Bland (6 & 5). The victory of the Graeme McDowell/Bernd Wiesberger pair (3 & 2) over the Charles Howell III/Anirban Lahiri duo will remain anecdotal.
