Pro B club, the Lille Red Giants eliminated Paris Basketball this evening in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France, 85-74.
We can obviously ask ourselves the question of whether the Parisians were motivated by this event when they have an extended season ahead of them with the Eurocup. Moreover, several major players including TJ Shorts and Nadir Hifi were exempt and coach Tuomas Lisalo made extensive use of his young players while recent recruit Mehdy Ngouama was the best Parisian scorer with 14 points.
It was in the 2nd quarter that Lille pulled away (29-16) with Marcus Santos Silva on 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
