Leones del Caracas Sweeps Tigres de Aragua in Second Preseason Game

Leones del Caracas received a visit from Tigres de Aragua at the Monumental Stadium, in what was the second preseason game and where the capitalians completed the sweep, after taking the victory seven runs to five.

Both teams opened the scoring in the first episode, as the visitors created a goal and later, the locals tied the game at one run thanks to a sacrifice fly by Bobby Bradley.

In the second section, Gabriel Noriega showed his ability with the wood, after hitting a double between right and center field; Later, he was boosted by a hit by young player Elio Prado.

With the score in favor of the locals, César Hernández showed all his power with the wood, after sending the ball to the central field stands of the Monumental Stadium to make the match three for one.

In the sixth section, José Sánchez began to produce for the cause of his new team and with an uncatchable one to take away the capital’s team on the scoreboard, four runs to one.

Those led by Buddy Bailey tried to get back on the board with a couple of streaks in the seventh inning, but the long-haired pitching knew how to get the ball rolling to achieve the second victory of the preseason.

Likewise, in the bottom of the eighth section, José Alguacil’s boys sealed the match with a trio of scores thanks to a double by Harvin Mendoza and consecutive singles by José Sánchez, Elio Prado and Eliézer Alfonzo Jr.

Tigres de Aragua added a couple more goals in the top of the ninth episode, but it was not enough to seek victory in the new home of the capital team.

In this way, Leones del Caracas left good feelings in these two preseason matches. Now, the next step is to continue preparing for what will be the opening day next week.
