Legendary German Judoka Klaus Glahn: A Success Story in the Judo World

Klaus Glahn (born March 23, 1942) is a former West German judoka who competed in the 1964 and 1972 Olympic Games. In 1964 he won a bronze medal in the open weight as a representative of the United Team of Germany. Eight years later he won a silver medal in the heavyweight division for West Germany.[2] Between 1967 and 1973, Glahn won five medals at world championships in the heavyweight and open division.[3] He also won three European heavyweight titles, in 1963, 1968 and 1970.[4]

From 1985 to 1988 Glahn was President of the German Judo Federation. He also worked as a manager in the Volkswagen Group.
