When he was appointed Austrian team boss on April 29th last year, Ralf Rangnick set a clear goal: qualifying for the 2024 European Championship finals in his home country. A year and a half later, the 65-year-old has reached his goal. The “last line-up” after numerous failures, Rangnick fulfilled this wish with a narrow 1-0 win on Monday evening in Azerbaijan.
