THE VEGA. The Judo Association of La Vega took first place overall in the XI version of the Herman Despradel Brache Invitational Judo Cup held on Saturday at the Fernando Teruel Sports Palace in this city.
The tournament, which had a special dedication to sensei Heidi Despradel Fonck, brought together delegations from 12 judo associations.
Second place went to the Judo Association of San Juan de la Maguana, which accumulated 422 points, after winning four first-place medals, two second-place medals and the same number of third-place medals.
With 310 points, the team from the National District Judo Association finished in third place. The Jews of the National District won three gold medals and one silver.
Fourth place, with 221 points, belonged to the Barahona judo association, which added five medals, including two gold, two silver and one bronze.
San Pedro de Macorís, with 211 points, finished in fifth place, with two gold, one silver and one bronze, while Monte Plata, with 152 points, was sixth, after obtaining one gold, five silver and two bronze metals. , and Monsignor Nouel occupied the seventh place, with 102 points (one gold and two bronze).
