KRC Genk has ambitious plans. The club plans to renovate/modernize the Cegeka Arena. It frees up a large budget for this.
In addition, a new training complex for the first team and a stadium for the promises and women are on the agenda. A budget of approximately 45 million euros is available for the entire project, as announced by chairman Peter Croonen during the Pro League Stadium Summit.
He also expressed optimism about the success of the plans and hopes to be able to break ground as early as next year. Genk aims to realize the construction plans considerably faster than comparable projects in Bruges, Charleroi and Brussels.
