Kladno volleyball players entered the CEV Cup with a 2:3 defeat on the field of Ghent. Returning to the European scene after four years, the Czech club lost the opening duel of the 1st round after a close finish 14:16 in the tie-break, after not converting a match point in the fourth set. Central Bohemia will fight for a place in the round of 16, where Karlovy Vary is already, next week in a home rematch.
