There are turbulent months behind the DFB. After national coach Hansi Flick left, the search for a successor began immediately. On September 22nd, those responsible finally announced that Julian Nagelsmann would be the new national coach. But the 36-year-old doesn’t have much time until his debut. In October, the DFB team will go on its trip to the USA, which is also to a certain extent part of the preparation for the 2024 European Championship.

Until the 2024 European Championship, Flick’s successor no longer has many opportunities to find his dream team. He is supported by his two assistant coaches Benjamin Glück and Sandro Wagner.
Julian Nagerlsmann has personally attended several games in the past few days. Among other things, he was there live in the stadium during the 1:3 defeat of his former club TSG Hoffenheim against Borussia Dortmund.

Test matches before EM 2024: DFB team meets Austria in November
As European Championship hosts, Germany will play the opening game in Munich on June 14th. The DFB team’s other preliminary round games will take place on June 19th in Stuttgart and on June 23rd in Frankfurt. Ticket sales for the 2024 European Championship started on October 3rd.
At the end of the international match year, the German national team will meet Austria in Vienna on November 21, 2023.
