Judo Samurai Jesi Athlete Takes Third Place at Italian Judo Championships

Jesi (Ancona), 23 October 2023 – Edoardo Clementi from Jesi took the third step of the podium at the absolute Italian Judo championships, held yesterday in Brescia. The Judo Samurai Jesi athlete, after a hesitant start, lost in the first match and recovered because his opponent reached the final, started the round and won all the matches until the final for third place. A very hard-fought final, where he took the lead by wazari (a term to indicate a great advantage) and managed to maintain it until the end, thus reaching a podium at the Italian federal Judo championships for the third consecutive year. In fact, in 2021 Clementi won the Italian championships in the junior category, then in 2022 he ranked second and this year, he reached third place but in the overall, therefore in a higher category. The entire delegation of Jesi athletes composed of Riccardo and Andrea Coppari, Bitri Klajdi and Edoardo Clementi, now projected to represent the best of judo from the Marche in terms of competitive results, performed well. An acknowledgment of the constant and competent work of the Judo samurai Jesi society. “And it doesn’t end here – the company comments -, the 2023-2024 sporting year will be full of competitive, technical and social commitments and Judo Samurai will be busy on all fronts with athletes and judokas of a high level of preparation. The next commitment is the Policoro Grand Prix on the first weekend of November”.
