Jessica Pegula Dominates Yue Yuan to Win Korean WTA 250 Tournament

The American Jessica Pegula held her position in South Korea highly. Seed No. 1 and favorite of the Korean WTA 250 tournament, the world No. 4 largely dominated the Chinese Yue Yuan (world 128) in the final this Sunday in 1 hour 24 (6-2, 6-3).

After saving a break point on her first throw of the match, Pegula then continued throughout the first set, notably being very aggressive in returning the second ball. More resistant in the second round, even making up a break behind, Yue Yuan did not however succeed in making Pegula doubt more than that, who won her second title in 2023, after the WTA 1000 won at the beginning of August in Montreal.

It is also the fourth career trophy for the American, who now turns to the Cancun Masters in Mexico (October 29 to November 5).
