JC Mifune Judoka Shine at 15th Special Olympics, Bringing Home a Collection of Medals

The JC Mifune judoka brought a complete set of medals with them to Hückeswagen from the judo tournament at the 15th Special Olympics in Essen-Kupferdreh. More than 100 judoka with disabilities showed off their skills, reported Mifune chairman and trainer Eddy Tscheschlog. With a lot of effort, Leo Petersberg secured victory in his age and weight class and thus the gold medal. Silver went to Nen Musaeus, although, according to Tscheschlog, “an erroneous referee decision stood between him and first place. After checking the video, the decision was revised, but this correction came too late.” Third place was enough for Sebastian Ziemski, Daniel Mann and Björn Heissig, who received a bronze medal.
