Iziar Barcala once again receives a scholarship from the Deputation as a promising athlete. The badminton player from Estrada arrived in Vigo on Friday, from the national concentration held at the CAR in Madrid, where she remained since Tuesday along with 17 athletes from different autonomous communities. Among the objectives of this concentration are the preparation of the U-19 national team with a view to the 2024 European Junior Championship and to continue monitoring athletes belonging to the U-17 and U-19 categories, with the purpose of identifying and nurturing athletes who could be called up for future high-competition events. Once in Vigo, Barcala participated in the Sports Gala, where the DepoDan and DepoPromesa scholarships were awarded to the best athletes in the province, and where the A Estrada athlete was one of the beneficiaries of the DepoPromesa scholarship, for the second consecutive year. .
