ROME (ITALPRESS) – The journey of the Italian para-badminton team in Australia ends with the silver medal of Yuri Ferrigno, who in the mixed doubles final together with the Peruvian Pilar Jauregui succumbed to the Chilean Jaime Aranguiz at the end of a hard-fought match and the Belgian Man-Kei To who prevailed in three partials (21-12; 13-21; 21-16). Ferrigno’s medal adds to the two bronze medals won yesterday by Rosa De Marco in the women’s singles and women’s doubles, thus achieving an excellent haul. Rosa De Marco had in fact been overcome in the semi-finals of women’s singles in two sets (21-8; 21-4) by the Indian Thulasimathi Murugesan and of women’s doubles together with the Bulgarian Emona Ivanova, losing in two sets (21-8; 21- 11) to the Indonesian Oktila/Sadiyah.
