Inter vs Bologna 2-2, Nerazzurri throw away two goal lead

Inter Milan failed to beat Bologna in the Italian League continued. Already two goals ahead, the Nerazzurri had to be willing to draw 2-2.

Inter vs Bologna takes place at the Giuseppe Meazza, Saturday (7/10/2023) evening WIB. Inter took the lead 2-0 through Francesco Acerbi and Lautaro Martinez, but Bologna reduced it to 1-2 through Riccardo Orsolini’s penalty.

Instead of scoring another goal in the second half, Inter conceded. Joshua Zirkzee successfully sent Bologna home with a score of 2-2.

This result still makes Inter sit in first place in the Italian League standings with 19 points. Bologna is in eighth place with 11 points.

The Course of the Match

La Beneamata was leading 1-0 after 11 minutes of the match. Francesco Acerbi successfully broke into Bologna’s goal by using a corner kick.

Two minutes later Inter’s lead changed to 2-0. Lautaro Martinez scored a goal with a long-range shot.

Bologna was awarded a penalty after Lautaro Martinez pulled Lewis Ferguson’s jersey. Riccardo Orsolini stepped up as executor and successfully changed the score to 1-2 in the 19th minute.

Inter tries to beat Bologna again. There were three attempts made until halftime, but none of them resulted in goals.

Bologna surprised Inter in the 52nd minute. Joshua Zirkzee easily outwits three Inter players and fires a shot to score. Goalkeeper Yann Sommer went dead. The score changed 2-2.

Inter Milan scored a goal in the 60th minute through Alexis Sanchez. The goal was disallowed because it was offside.

Until 10 minutes of normal time remained in the match, Inter were still unable to break Bologna’s goal. The visiting team was able to defend their penalty box well.

Lukasz Skorupski made a great save in the 83rd minute. He parried a hard shot from Carlos Augusto.

Inter did not score any goals throughout the second half. The match had to finish with a score of 2-2.
