The 2023-2024 Chinese Women’s Basketball League (WCBA) will officially start on October 17, 2023. This season will resume the home and away system. Of the 36 games played by the Inner Mongolia Rongxin Women’s Basketball Team, 18 will be played at the home court of the Inner Mongolia Gymnasium. This season, the Inner Mongolia Rural Credit Union Basketball Club took the initiative to transform and boldly hired a young coaching team. The head coach of the team is Yang Zan, the former assistant coach of the Inner Mongolia Rural Credit Union Women’s Basketball Team. The assistant coach is Shou, a former member of the Chinese national youth team and a member of the coaching staff of the Chinese 3V3 national team. Yifan, the physical rehabilitation trainer is Jiang Yuming, an American Ph.D. physical therapist and former CBA player physical rehabilitation trainer. The team currently has 16 contracted athletes. In addition to three current national players, Li Yuan, Zhang Ru, and Pan Zhenqi, Zhang Qifang has returned to the team this season. Zhou Mengyun and Sun Mengran are currently active national three-man basketball players and former national five-man basketball players respectively.
