Injury setback for TSG Hoffenheim as Andrej Kramaric faces extended absence

TSG Hoffenheim will apparently have to be without their important offensive player Andrej Kramaric (32) for longer than initially thought.

Luck doesn’t seem to be on Andrej Kramaric’s side at the moment. The offensive player, who is so important for TSG Hoffenheim (four goals and four assists in eight competitive games this season alone), will probably no longer be able to play for the Kraichgauer team in October; the injury to his right thigh appears to be too serious.

“Nine centimeter long crack”

At least this is what the Croatian newspaper “24 sata” reports. According to the newspaper, the injury Kramaric suffered on September 29th in the 1:3 against Dortmund is much more than just a nerve-racking bruise, but a “nine centimeter long tear in the muscle,” said Kramaric, who went through critical days.

In the circle of the Croatian national team, for which Kramaric naturally did not appear, this diagnosis was described to him by the doctors. He has only been able to move around properly again for a very short time, says Kramaric and makes it clear: “I couldn’t walk properly for 19 days.”

The 32-year-old did not provide any information about the length of his absence; further investigations will first take place at TSG. However, Kramaric will apparently be out at least against Frankfurt (Saturday, 3:30 p.m., LIVE! on kicker). A longer break is possible.
