Injured Giants Left Tackle Andrew Thomas Ruled Out for Third Consecutive Game

Andrew Thomas, the Giants’ starting left tackle who hasn’t played since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1, gave it a go this week but “just wasn’t feeling right,” according to coach Brian Daboll.

Thomas went through individual drills in Thursday’s practice but was held back Friday and Saturday. The Giants ruled him out of Monday night’s home game against the Seahawks on the final injury report, ensuring that the fourth-year pro would miss his third consecutive game. The former fourth overall draft pick has never missed more than three games in a season.

“He went through a few little drills, didn’t feel right, we took him out right away and just want to make sure the player’s ready to go and do the necessary rehab and stuff,” Daboll said. “So, I’d say it’s week to week. Whether he’ll be ready next week, I’m not sure. Really week to week.”

Thomas was one of two players on the final injury report, the other being just as important to the offense as Thomas. Running back Saquon Barkley, despite practicing all week in a limited capacity, was listed as doubtful heading into Monday with the ankle injury he suffered late in the wild Week 2 comeback victory. He was ruled out on the official inactive list, which is released 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Below is the inactive list for Giants vs. Seahawks on Monday Night Football:
