The Ministry of the Interior (Segob) accused that the Attorney General of Morelos, Uriel Carmona, is protected in the Judiciary.
When exposing four cases in which the Morelos prosecutor has allegedly acted irregularly, Luisa María Alcalde, head of Segob, said that: “it is evident that the Morelos prosecutor has a network of complicities within the Federal Judiciary and the Congress of the State of Morelos”.

The four cases in which the prosecutor has allegedly benefited from the Judiciary and the Local Congress, the Mayor said in the presidential morning, are: the murder of activist Samir ‘N’ in February 2019; the murder of 2 union members during a protest in May 2020; the feminicide of Ariadna Fernanda in October 2022 and the murder of two workers from the National Institute of Public Health in October 2022, a case for which an investigation for torture was derived against Carmona.
Last September, the Morelos prosecutor was released from prison after a federal judge granted him protection.
That was the fourth time Carmona obtained protection since he was arrested in August.
