The ski champion thus comments on the unwanted stop during the first seasonal descent of the first stage of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, women’s giant slalom in Soelden.
The Italian, who started with bib number 32, after less than 30 seconds had to dodge a track attendant who was lingering on the race course. The girl from Bergamo stopped to avoid the impact, returned to the start and did the test again, therefore coming down with bib number 44. But she managed to finish with a gap of 2”80, twentieth place which allows her to qualify for the second run.
