The Goddess takes no prisoners from the very first minutes, dominating play and ball possession. The Nerazzurri found the goal in the 5th minute, with an action built entirely by their attack. Lookman rewards Scamacca’s cut, who slips away and with his heel goes past Berisha under the eyes of Spalletti, attentive in the stands to the test of his center forward. Empoli attempted a reaction with pressing, but risked being doubled twice: Scamacca hit the post in the 16th minute and saw his brace canceled out three minutes later due to an earlier offside by Koopmeiners. Berisha also takes center stage, avoiding two goals, but can do nothing in the 28th minute on Koopmeiners’ low shot: the Dutchman displaces the goalkeeper and scores after Scamacca’s assist. Berisha 6 – He has some fault with the third goal, but overall it is the only one sufficient for Empoli. Without his saves in the first half hour, the deficit would have been tennis-like at the very least.
Walukiewicz 4.5 – Scamacca takes him for a walk throughout the match and the Pole goes haywire, not understanding any of his rival’s movements and being outclassed in the physical and technical duel. Andreazzoli replaces him in the 65th minute, after a nightmare evening.

Hateboer 7 – In the first half he constantly breaks down the right lane, proving to be the extra weapon for Atalanta’s attack and driving Cacace crazy. A great return as a starter for the Dutchman, who takes advantage of Zappacosta’s absence to relaunch himself in the eyes of Gasperini.
