Germany Shines at International Competition: Wins Medals and Secures Final Spots

With over 350 participants from 35 nations, Germany had the largest field of participants with 31 participants, after hosts Spain with 69 and France with 67 participants. In the national rankings, the German team is in second place with two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

In the class up to 52 kg there is an all-German final. As well as Soraya Günther as well as Chiara Serra fight their way to the final with victories. Soraya Günther then wins there and gold.

In the class up to 78 kg A shows once againnna Monta Olek their performance. She confidently fights her way into the final and wins there against the French Marie Fernandez.

In the class up to 81 kg Tim Gramkow in the final, but has to give in to Adam Techoev, an athlete from the team of individually neutral athletes, and wins silver.

Peter Thomas is in the semi-finals, but loses there and then secures bronze against the French Raphael Gigli.

In addition, Tom Droste came fifth in the 90 kg class and Amani Küster in the over 78 kg class.

The competition system gives you the chance for further placements. Alessio Murrone (-60 kg), Liam Herrmann and Nikolas Kunze (-66 kg), Viktor Marko Wandtke (-73 kg) and Lukas Vennekold (-81 kg) are ninth in the men’s category.

Sarah Ischt (-48 kg), Helene Riegert (-57 kg), Hanna Sedlmair and Nadja Bazynski (-63 kg) came ninth among the women.
