When payment and banking technology provider Financial Software and Systems (FSS) thought of ways to improve collaboration among employees as they returned to office, a sporting reunion was on top of the list.
That’s when FSS Smash Masters, a badminton tournament, was served to employees.
Smash Masters, which started in August this year, saw nearly 50 employees – including seasoned badminton players and amateurs – participate in the first season.
Shiny Elizabeth, manager for people success, says the larger goal of the tournament is to enhance team building, strengthen relationships, and empower everyone to excel. The tournament was held in two categories – men’s doubles and women’s doubles. Hariram V, senior software engineer at FSS, says being part of such a sporting activity means more to him than just competing.
“It is about connecting, teamwork, and sharing our love for games. I cherish the fun and am eager to participate in more such competitions in other sports too,” he says.
