Former Cyclone Breece Hall’s Game-Winning Touchdown Leads Jets to Victory Against Undefeated Eagles

The Jets won a massive game against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, 20-14, with the help of former Cyclone running back Breece Hall. Hall ran in a game-winning eight-yard rushing touchdown with under two minutes remaining in the game to improve the Jets to 3-3 on the season and their first winning streak of at least two games since October 2022.

On the day, Hall recorded 12 carries for 39 yards while making five catches for 54 yards. Hall’s 54 receiving yards was the second-best receiving game across his young career. On the season, Hall is in the top 10 in rushing yards in the NFL and is the only running back in the league to rush for over six yards while having at least 65 rushing attempts. He’s averaging 6.5 rushing yards per attempt.

Allen Lazard added one catch for eight yards to the Jets offense while rookie Will McDonald recorded no stats in the win.

The 49ers suffered their first loss of the season in Cleveland as the Browns won 19-17 on a last-second missed field goal by San Francisco. Brock Purdy had a tough day in the rain and without a few of his main offensive weapons available. Despite the tough day, Purdy was able to march the team down the field and give them a chance to win, but the field goal was wide right. Purdy still leads the league in QBR as well as the best touchdown-to-turnover ratio in the league for quarterbacks who have started all six games in the 2023 season.

The Lions improved to 5-1, defeating Tampa Bay, 20-6, Sunday on the road. David Montgomery carried six times for 14 yards, while also recording a 19-yard reception in the game. After six weeks Montgomery is in the top 10 of the league in rushing yards per game, as well as rushing touchdowns for the red-hot Lions.

Jake Hummel recorded one tackle in the Rams’ 26-9 win over the Cardinals.
