Five Young Judo Kan Parral Judokas Shine with Six Prizes at State Judo Association Event

With six prizes (3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze and 1 best technique), five young Judo Kan Parral judokas from Parral shone, within their foray into the III Camp and Competitive Top of the State Judo Association of Durango (AJED), endorsed by the Mexican Judo Federation (FMJ), event held last weekend at the “Luis L. Vagas” Gym in Gómez Palacios, Durango.

With this, the five athletes from the capital of the world left a great taste in their mouths in this event, which served as training for their next competition, the 2023 National Championship to take place the third week of October in the city of Querétaro. Queretaro.

This event was convened by the Judo Association of the State of Durango, with the endorsement of the Mexican Federation of AC Judo, which is being held in its third edition of camp and competitive cap.

It is noteworthy that around 60 competitors gathered in the competition, including 5 from Judo Kan Parral, 14 from Chihuahua, as well as from Torreón, Saltillo and the host Gómez Palacios, the activity took place in their respective camp and in the top competitive tournament.

The competition is called initiation or sports promotion, where there were judokas from the ages of 4 to 16, showing a positive development, the Parralenses present, entering the camp, as in their fights.

The five Parral athletes, students of Professor Andrés Martínez who were present are; Martin Carrillo; Kermit Ramos; Horacio Jurado, Eugenio Jurado and Said Sáenz, where six medals were obtained, including three gold, one silver, one more bronze and the other for best technique of the tournament.

The judokas who won gold were, Eugenio Jurado in pre-infant, 31 kilograms; Kermit Ramos in the children’s category 28 kilos and Said Sáenz in sub 13, in 31 kilos; The silver was won by Horacio Jurado in the children’s category of 28 kilos and the bronze went to Martín Carrillo in the children’s category, in 34 kilos and Horacio Jurado took a medal for showing the best technique of the event.

In the sift fair, the teacher, Andrés Martínez, had an outstanding participation, since he served as judge of the event, which was a complete success, for the entire organization of the same.

NOTE: It should be noted that the Parralense competitors performed very well in the camp and held three fights, each of two to three rounds, where they showed their progress on the tatami.
