Federico Coria, Top Favorite, Faces Jan Choinski for Quarterfinals in Buenos Aires Challenger

Federico Coriatop favorite for the title, faces this Friday British Jan Choinski for the quarterfinals of the Buenos Aires Challenger, on a day in which also other Argentine tennis players will play.

Coria, born in Rosario and ranked 83rd in the ATP world ranking, will play no earlier than 2:30 p.m. against Choinski (127) for a place in the semifinals of the tournament that is played on a surface of brick dust at the Racket Clubin the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, and will distribute prizes of $130,000.

If he wins, the 31-year-old tennis player will play one of the semifinals this Saturday against the winner of the match between two Argentinians no earlier than 4:00 p.m.: Facundo Díaz Acosta (106) and Francisco Comesaña (126).

For its part, John Manuel Cerundolo (102)second favorite for the title, opens the day at 11 before Luciano Darderi (166), a tennis player born in Villa Gesell and naturalized Italian.

The other four titles were from Andrea Collarini in Piracicaba, in São Paulo, Brazil; Federico Delbonis in Cali, Colombia; Genaro Alberto Olivieri in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Camilo Ugo Carabelli in Antofagasta, Chile.
