In case Aaron Jones goes down on Sunday and upends your entire fantasy lineup, you have alternatives.Turk Mason – USA Today Sports

Who should you start with? Who should you sit with? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid using an offensive player who won’t be in the lineup, we’ll be posting fantasy-related updates and analysis here as NFL teams announce their official inactive rosters publish. All rankings mentioned in this column come from the ESPN Fantasy staff.

On Sundays, inactive participation must begin approximately 90 minutes before scheduled kickoff times: approximately 11:30 a.m. ET for early afternoon games and 2:30 p.m. ET for late afternoon games.

Update regularly to get the latest information.

The games take place at 4:00 p.m. ET

Zach Pascal, WR, ARI — Inactive
Impact: Michael Wilson has far surpassed him in the WR pecking order, making Pascal’s status relatively questionable.

Kyler Murray, QB, ARIOutside
IMPACT: His training period to return from IR has begun and he could start in Week 8. But for now, Joshua Dobbs remains the focus.

Greg Dolcic, TE, DN Outdoor/Infrared
IMPACT: Dulcich was injured again last week and is back on IR. Adam Troutman will start but is not a fantasy factor.

Aaron Jones, RB, GBactive
Impact: Despite his ongoing hamstring issues, Jones will try. Maybe AJ Dillon could still be asked to spell Jones.

Justin Watson, WR, KCOutside
Impact: He will not be placed on IR but is expected to remain until at least Week 10. Kadarius Toney and Rashee Rice benefit in the short term, but Mecole Hardman Jr. He was just reacquired by the Chiefs and might have something to say about it.

Jalen Guyton, WR, LACOutside
Impact: Although the three-week period for returning from IR has begun, he is not yet ready to play. Next week it could be a different story.

Kyren Williams, RB, LAR Outdoor/Infrared
IMPACT: Darrell Henderson Jr. was promoted from the practice squad to further shake up a replacement committee that already included rookie Zach Evans, Royce Freeman and Myles Gaskin (now inactive). Adam Schefter reports that Freeman and Henderson will be doing most of the heavy lifting today.

Deontae Johnson, WR, PittIt is infrared activated
IMPACT: His return comes at the right time for the Steelers, who have placed TE Pat Freiermuth on IR with a hamstring injury.

DK Metcalf, WR, SEAInactive
Impact: We hope you listened to our advice and started creating someone right from the start of the games. If not, check if Jackson Smith-Njigba or Jake Bobo are free on the waiver wire?

Zach Charbonnet, RB, SEAInactive
Impact: Kenneth Walker III may see more campaigning than usual. DeeJay Dallas is expected to take over the backup RB role this week.

Game on Sunday evening

Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, MIAIt is infrared activated
Impact: He will share the backcourt with Raheem Mostert at some point, but it is not known exactly when he will replace Salvon Ahmed for the franchise.

Julio Jones, WR, PHI He was promoted from the coaching staff
Impact: He just signed with the team, so expecting more than a limited number of snaps this week is probably overly optimistic.

The games take place at 1:00 p.m. ET

Damien Harris, RB, BUF Outdoor/Infrared
Impact: James Cook and Latavius Murray will split the carries in Buffalo’s backfield.

Quentin Morris, TE, BUFOutside
IMPACT: Dalton Kinkaid returns from concussion and will share goals with Dawson Knox.

Roshawn Johnson, RB, CHIOutside
Impact: He’s still dealing with post-concussion issues, so there will likely be some sort of timeshare between Donta Foreman, Travis Homer and Darrenton Evans.

Justin Fields, QB, CHIOutside
IMPACT: Division II rookie Tyson Bagent gets the call in his place.

Deshaun Watson, QB, CLEactive
Impact: He hasn’t played since Week 3, but it’s clear he’s ready to give it a try.

Kareem Hunt, RB, CLEactive
Impact: Deon Jackson was promoted to the active roster as insurance but obviously may not be needed. We haven’t seen a good portion of Jerome Ford yet.

Marvin Jones Jr., WR, DETOutside
Impact: Jones did not travel with the team for personal reasons. Expect an uptick in goals from Jameson Williams.

David Montgomery, RB, DETOutside
Impact: Jahmyr Gibbs will have to handle most of the ball contact in the backfield, especially with Craig Reynolds (active) dealing with a rib injury.

Alec Pierce, WR, INDactive
Impact: Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs are still the top fantasy options here.

Kellen Granson, TE, INDOutside
Impact: Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree will likely rotate into the lineup.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, LVOutside
IMPACT: Brian Hoyer will start in his place and throw the ball to Davante Adams, who was taken off the injury report on Friday.

Kayshawn Bote, WR, NEInactive
Impact: Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster are also listed as questionable, but only Douglas is active in this case.

Hunter Henry, TE, NEactive
Impact: However, he probably doesn’t deserve to start this week – and the same goes for fellow TE Mike Gesicki.

Daniel Jones, QB, NYGInactive
IMPACT: Tyrod Taylor got another start for the Giants, who had very little offense all season.
