Düsseldorfer EG dismisses Kreutzer – Sport

Ice hockey crisis club Düsseldorfer EG has separated from club legend Daniel Kreutzer. According to information from the German Press Agency, the 43-year-old DEL record player from DEG has to give up his position as assistant coach after the poor start to the season. The eight-time German champion wants to present a successor in the short term. The Rheinische Post first reported on this on Wednesday. Kreutzer played intermittently for DEG for 16 years. The ex-national player and fourth place in the 2010 World Cup holds all Düsseldorf records in the German Ice Hockey League with 780 games, 217 goals, 425 assists and 642 scorer points. Instead of the new head coach Thomas Dolak, the DEG now parted ways with the brother of the Augsburg head coach Christof Kreutzer. After eleven games and only two wins, the Düsseldorf team are currently second to last in the DEL.
