Borussia Dortmund has taken the lead in the German Bundesliga, at least for one night. Coach Edin Terzic’s team achieved their fifth win in a row in a 1-0 win against Werder Bremen on Friday evening. Julian Brandt (67′) ensured BVB’s well-deserved success with his goal.
In contrast, the negative trend in Bremen continues. After the fourth defeat in the last five games, the danger zone for the team around captain Marco Friedl is getting closer and closer.
Marcel Sabitzer came onto the field for the winners a quarter of an hour before the end. Friedl played through for Werder, Romano Schmid was substituted at the finish.
