Djokovic Prepares for Final Tournaments in Battle for World Number 1

Djokovic, who has not participated in the Asian tour (Beijing and Shanghai), will play the Paris Masters (October 30 to November 5) before closing his regular ATP campaign at the ATP Finals in Turin (November 13-19 ). His performances in these last two individual tournaments will determine whether or not he ends the year as world number 1 or does Carlos Alcaraz, with whom he is immersed in a battle for every point.

Preparations are underway for the final part of the season, I have three tournaments left in which I will participate. I’m looking forward to the challenges, I’m still in the race to finish number 1, with Alcaraz in that fight, there are still a few weeks left, just enough to bring my game to the desired level. The five-week break will probably affect the start a little, I hope to be able to overcome it as soon as possible and enter the desired level and quality of competitive tennis very soon.

In statements to Sportal, Nole is clear that: expectations are high, I had a lot of success in Paris-Bercy and I don’t expect anything less this year” and sets his great goal on lifting the Davis Cup with Serbia

My biggest wish is to win the Davis Cup, I hope to be healthy and fit and be able to finish the year as number 1 and win at least one more title

Serbia will face Great Britain in the quarterfinals (November 23 in Malaga) and, if they overcome that tie, they will face Italy or the Netherlands for a place in the final.

The Serbian team, with which Djokovic has not lost since he did so in 2011 against the Argentine Juan Martín del Potro, seeks to win its second Salad after the title achieved in 2010. In 2013 they were runners-up, while last year they left the tournament in the group stage.
