Tennis is also forged from these unusual little stories, from realized dreams and meetings with its idols. When Arthur Delaye proposed on X (formerly Twitter) to Stan Wawrinka to exchange balls at Bercy, during the Rolex Paris Masters, he surely did not think that it would happen. And yet.

This Monday, this disabled student (he suffers from cerebral palsy) had the incredible luck and privilege of exchanging a few balls on the Bercy training grounds with the Swiss, former world number 3. An opportunity facilitated by the FFT but also Stan Wawrinka, never the last to please the fans. A beautiful story which also reminds us that we must always believe in our dreams. And it’s beautiful.
