Bayern Munich achieved their second victory in the 2023/2024 Champions League. Die Roten won 2-1 when they visited the headquarters of the Danish club, FC Copenhagen.
The second matchday of Group A of the Champions League held the Copenhagen vs Bayern Munich duel. The match took place at Parken Park, Wednesday (4/10/2023) early morning WIB.
Both teams played fiercely in the first half. The glasses score lasted until halftime.
Copenhagen broke the deadlock eight minutes into the second half. Lukas Lerager who listed his name on the scoreboard.
Starting from a counter-attack, Lerager got the ball thrown in the penalty box before kicking the ball towards the goal. The ball bounced before flying into Bayern’s path.
The visitors equalized in the 6th minute. Jamal Musiala who successfully broke into Copenhagen’s goal.
The goal occurred when Musiala snaked around the penalty box before firing a low shot into the bottom left corner of Copenhagen’s goal. The score is tied at 1-1.
Bayern turned ahead in the 83rd minute. Mathys Tel who became the hero of Die Roten.
Thomas Mueller played an important role in Bayern’s second goal. He outwitted Copenhagen’s back line in the penalty box before giving a pass to Tel which became a goal.
Tel’s goal closed the Copenhagen vs Bayern match. Die Roten won 2-1.
This victory brought Bayern firmly at the top of Group A with 6 points. Copenhagen is stuck in third place with 1 point.
