The Central hosted the presentation of the programming prepared by the Department of Sports regarding schools and municipal physical sports activities, in collaboration with various clubs, associations, groups and private companies. An intense agenda that aims to reach, above all, the youngest, offering them varied proposals. However, some cover all ages.
The Councilor for Sports, Francisco Javier Lozano, highlighted the planning of municipal sports schools. There are 11-a-side soccer, 7-a-side soccer, indoor soccer, minibasketball, paddle tennis and basketball, managed by CD Úbeda Viva; athletics with the Úbeda Triathlon Club; swimming with the Úbeda Swimming Club; rugby with the Atlantes Rugby Club; badminton with the Úbeda Badminton Club; and chess with the Santa Joan of Arc Club.
On the other hand, he referred to aquatic activities, which will cost from 20 euros per month, and include a children’s and adult swimming school, aquasalud Reactívate Program, aquasalud for pregnant women and aquagym. In addition, municipal psychomotor, multisport, climbing, tennis, volleyball, handball, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics schools are offered from 8 euros per month.
Physical conditioning courses have also been enabled, from 20 euros per month, such as yoga-zumba, pilates, back pilates, maintenance, fitness, free fitness or self-defense.
Taking advantage of the occasion, Lozano announced that agreements will be encouraged with some sports centers in the city to be able to develop aquatic activities and so that users who are enrolled in gymnastics or maintenance gymnastics can complete their physical activity. And he also pointed out that La Central will continue to be promoted as a transversal space, in which both young people and other groups in the city have a place.
