David Pastrňák Shines as Bruins Dominate San Jose: NHL Season Update

David Pastrňák started the new NHL season in great form. The Czech hockey player also scored in the third game of the season, when he scored a goal to crown Boston’s 3:1 win on the ice of San Jose. Bruins have full points after three games.

They decided against San Jose in the first period, in which they jumped to 2-0. Pastrňák added the third goal in the second period. The Czech gunner scored one of his luckier goals in the 37th minute.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic attacked him while trying to finish, Pastrňák’s puck came off his stick, but when he fell, it bounced off his skates and to everyone’s surprise, he slid all the way past the goal line.

Tomáš Hertl scored the Sharks’ only goal. He sent Anthony Duclair to escape, who, with the help of defender Hampus Lindholm, reduced the score to 1:3. The Bruins took care of the finish and overall won their eleventh game in a row in the regular season.

Jakub Vrán did well, scoring the first two-point game of the season. But his goal and assist did not prevent the loss of St. Louis with Arizona 2:6.

In total, Vrána had ten games to score a two-point night last season. Against Arizona, he entered the statistics for the first time in the 28th minute, when he picked up a rebounded puck near the right goalpost, skated to an ideal position on the center of the field and shot the rebound of goalkeeper Connor Ingram, who was given priority in the lineup ahead of Karl Vejmelka, to reduce the score to 1:2 .

“Marco Scandella did a great job on the blue line. He caught the layup, the puck bounced to me and I didn’t have anyone around me. I knew right away I was going to try to shoot and I was hoping to hit it,” Vrána said.

The Blues got nothing out of the contact goal at all. Just 42 seconds after Vrána’s shot, Michael Carcone answered and gave the Coyotes a two-goal lead.

Thanks to Nick Schmaltz, Arizona increased to 4:1 in the second period, and when Jason Zucker added the fifth goal of the visitors at the beginning of the third period, the final result was almost decided.

In the 44th minute, Vrána pulled the puck into the offensive zone, in which he limped past a pair of Arizona defenders and challenged Samuel Blaise to score.

Hockey players St. Louis, however, did not show much more in the rest of the match and in the end conceded a goal for the final 2:6. The Blues conceded more than two goals for the first time this year and lost the second of the opening three duels in the season. Underrated Arizona has a record of two wins and two losses after four games.

“We played too slowly. The opponent outplayed us in almost everything. We have no choice but to watch the video, analyze it and move on. It’s only the beginning of the season,” said Vrána.

The hockey players of Vancouver lost for the second time in a row, and they were not enough against Tampa Bay in Thursday’s game. After a great start to the second period, the Canucks led in Florida 2:1, but the home team turned the game around with three goals and went on to win their second game of the year. Less than two minutes before the end, after Filip Hronko’s shot from the blue, JT Miller reduced the score to 3:4, but Vancouver was unable to equalize.

Carolina forward Martin Nečas scored the fifth point in the fifth game. The second most productive Czech in the league so far assisted on the fourth goal in the match against Seattle. However, the Kraken won 7:4 at home and are celebrating for the first time in the season. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Vince Dunn scored three points for a goal and two assists in the win.

In his first start of the season, Daniel Vladař helped Calgary win 4:3 on the ice of Buffalo. The Flames won for the second time in the season thanks to the Czech goalkeeper’s 24 saves.

The second player of the June draft, Swede Leo Carlsson, decorated his first start in the NHL with a goal. At the beginning of the third period of the match with Dallas, he tied the score at 2:2, but Anaheim did not score. The Stars’ winning goal was scored by defender Miro Heiskanen, who finished the match with a 1+2 record.

Vegas hockey players confirmed their excellent start to the season. The reigning champions beat Winnipeg 5-3 for their fifth straight win. Defenseman Shea Theodore led the Golden Knights’ win with three assists.

On the contrary, Edmonton scored only two points out of four attempts (for a win over Nashville). On Thursday, the team around Connor McDavid lost to Philadelphia 1-4 and fell to 15th place in the Western Conference.
