In an interview with the CNews broadcaster, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin accused footballer Karim Benzema of having “known links to the Muslim Brotherhood”, a radical Islamist organization accused of supporting terrorism.
Darmanin was responding to a question on the stance of the French Ballon d’Or winner who has now moved to Saudi Arabia, who two days ago had taken the side of the “inhabitants of Gaza, once again victims of unjust bombings which do not spare women and children”.
