Charlotte Hornets Player Miles Bridges Receives Criminal Summons for Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Charges

Miles Bridges, a player for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA, received a criminal summons this Wednesday from the Meckleburg County (North Carolina) office for violating a domestic violence protection order and a misdemeanor charge of child abuse, according to The ESPN network reports this Wednesday.

Last November, Bridges, 25, was sentenced to three years of probation after a deal with prosecutors on an accusation of assaulting his girlfriend in front of their two children. Bridges has to serve three years of probation and, with the agreement reached, he accepted his sentence without pleading guilty in this trial.

The player was accused in July 2022 of three crimes of sexist violence and child abuse. On June 29 of that year, Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles (USA) for an alleged attack on his girlfriend with his two children present. He was later released after the judge set bail at $130,000.
