Canadian Wide Receiver Chase Claypool Absent from Chicago Bears’ Game Against Washington Commanders

Canadian wide receiver Chase Claypool will not be with his teammates this week as the Chicago Bears prepare to face the Washington Commanders.

The team’s head coach Matt Eberflus shared the information Monday morning on ESPN 1000.

“He will not be in the establishment for this shortened week,” he replied when asked about the receiver’s presence for Thursday evening’s meeting.

Claypool was held out of the game in the Bears’ painful 31-28 loss after a spectacular comeback by the Denver Broncos. He was not at Soldier Field on Sunday, having criticized his use in the offensive scheme since the start of the season.

The Bears traded the 32nd overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers last November for the receiver’s services. The one who is in the final year of his contract was limited to one touchdown and 191 yards in 10 games with Chicago.

The Bears have yet to win a single game this season in four meetings. You will be able to follow the match between the Bears and the Commanders Thursday at 8:15 p.m. with RDS2 and RDS.ca.
