Brazil won the silver medal in badminton after being defeated by Canada by two sets to one today, at the Pan-American games, in Chile.
What happened
Brazil lost to Canada by two sets to one, coming from behind, and took the silver medal in badminton.
Right at the beginning of the first set, the Canadians were up 2-0, but Davi da Silva and Fabrício Farias reacted quickly, turned the game around and opened up a certain advantage. During the stage, the match was balanced, and the Brazilians remained ahead on the scoreboard until finishing 21 to 19.
The Canadian pair reacted in the second set and soon opened up a good lead. The Brazilians tried to turn things around, but ended up making mistakes in important moments, such as the serves in favor. With that, Canada won 21 to 15.
The Brazilian team’s mistakes in the third set destabilized the pairwhich saw Canada take advantage and close the game with 21 to 18.
