Boves – The youth sector of Skatch Boves Softball Baseball continues to “churn out” talents appreciated at a national level. After the call-up of Matteo Ariaudo with the Azzurri U17 baseball5 involved in the Cuore della Alpi Tournament, new experiences lie ahead on the sporting horizon of other young athletes of the historic Bovesana association.
The pitcher Tommaso Cavallo is among those selected at the “Showcase” in mid-October at the Castiglione della Pescaia baseball stadium. This initiative, promoted by the USAamerican Sport Association, has the aim of identifying young talents for whom to “open” the path to a university and sporting career in the USA. It should be underlined that the technical guidance of the gathering was entrusted to coach Marco Mazzieri, former coach of the Italian national team and scout for the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Elia Pessione, Giacomo Cappellero, Francesco Giordanengo, Davide Cavallera, Riccardo Giraudi, Francesco Meinero and Harbaaj Sing Gill have been invited to the selection process to access the 2023-24 regional baseball academy. The proposal, intended for athletes born between 2008 and 2010, is an excellent showcase for the young Skatch players who, if chosen, will find Tommaso Cavallo, already called up last year.
The selections of the young Bovesians testify to the great work of promoting the sport carried out with passion by the managers and technicians of the association. The idea of bringing baseball and softball into schools in order to make the movement increasingly popular was particularly rewarded.
