Bourg wins Round 2 of the EuroCup 72-79. Bourg started better but Trento made an impact and also took the lead by 2 points, one Difficult penetrating basket by Risacher ties the first quarter at 23-23. In the second quarter once again the French started better but Trento responded promptly and with Baldwin they also took the lead by 2 points. Kamar Baldwin’s injury seems to shake Trento a bit and at the break they find themselves down by 6 points, 38-44. The baskets by Ellis and Hubb bring the Eagle back to a tie at 59-59 but then comes the triple from the corner of the talented born in 2005 Risacher who ends the third quarter at 59-62. In the last quarter the teams appear tired and Trento’s percentages from the arc get even worse. Triples from Brown and Salash open a run that Trento is no longer able to close. The negative points in Trentino are Baldwin’s injury and the very low 3-point percentage of 20% compared to the French 40%.

Ellis 7: Nice defenses and in his second Eurocup match he updated his Carrier high to 14 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists. At the T Quotidiano Arena there are plenty of NBA scooters for Risacher but the Sheffield native steals the show. The only flaws are at the beginning where in addition to a lost ball, he refuses shots that are worth taking.
Stephens 5.5: His offensive rebounds are fundamental but he must improve his percentages both on free throws and from behind the arc.
Hub 4: Horror evening for the American guard who ended with 5 turnovers and a terrible 2/17 shooting. He wants to take over the team and runs a lot but causes a lot of damage to Trento. In the third he scores his only field goals and Trento gets closer.
Alviti 5: It’s not an evening for him either but his teammates certainly don’t help him get into a rhythm and he takes difficult shots.

Forray 6: Very solid game with the classic excellent defenses and 8 points. Unfortunately he doesn’t find the basket from 6.75.
Cooke Jr 6: Energia has plenty and in 12 minutes on the court he captures 6 rebounds.
Udom 6: Good return from the back injury that kept him out of the Pistoia match. Mark a and 1 in penetration that opens the Trentino partial in the second quarter.
Biligha 7.5: 17 and 9 rebounds for the former Olimpia player who responded brilliantly after two poor attempts. He goes back to scoring his typical midrange shots.

Grazul 6: He starts very strong with two triples but then disappears from the game a bit by committing a few too many fouls.
Baldwin 6: His match lasts 10 minutes where he receives a very strong elbow on the cheekbone from Risacher which sends him to the hospital. We are awaiting news on the injury. In his minutes on the pitch he made 3 assists and scored a nice triple in transition.

Brown 8: MVP! Main handler of the team who, in addition to scoring 17 points, creates for the others with 4 assists. He scores a very heavy triple in the fourth quarter.
Salash 7.5: Opens the field with his team pop which put the Trentino defense in serious difficulty. The final baskets are all his.
Benitez 7.5: Almost double-double with 10 points and 9 assists. He also scores a very heavy basket in the last quarter.
Courby 6: Doesn’t get on the scoresheet with points but does the dirty work by grabbing 5 rebounds.
Risacher 5.5: Not a great game where he doesn’t score as well as a triple and a driving basket.
Morgan 6.5: For the ex of the day two triples of his in transition.
Give 6: Tap in midway through second quarter. He plays little but aggressively.
Mike 6.5: It lights up in the second half with 3 bombs.
Kokila 7: Rolls very deep using his explosiveness to finish at the basket. He also throws a couple of terrifying hooks.
Julien 6: He scores his two points of the evening on the line and distributes 4 assists.
