On the last day of the 2023 district league, the Biberach judoka were able to successfully finish the season in 5th place.
Tobias Franz ‐81 kg made the successful start against JC Horb. The Biberacher won early with a counterattack. Arman made up for the subsequent defeat at the hands of Khushniddin at lightweight with a win by hold. The 73 kg fight was lost and with Freddy’s victory the team fight was decided 3:2 for TG Biberach.
The second fight against the favorites from Erbach was lost. In the match against the KG from Göppingen, Tobias was able to secure an opening win. The 90 kg match was again lost and Arman’s win without a fight meant the score was 2:1. Khushniddin was able to defeat his opponent early with a shoulder throw in the -73 kg weight class and the subsequent defeat +90 kg was bearable. So the final result was 3:2 for Biberach.
In the next encounter against TSB Ravensburg, the Biberach team suffered a 5-0 defeat.
In the fight against JV Nürtingen 2, only the 73 kg weight class could be won and the young fighters Freddy, Nick and Ilja could not yet keep up with their experienced opponents.
Due to an injury, Tobias was no longer able to play. The subsequent fight against KG Sigmaringen/Balingen had a positive start with Gero’s opening victory in the heavyweight division. Daniel took advantage of his opponent’s carelessness and won early. The 90 kg defeat was bearable due to the superiority of the opponent and the following Arman and Khushniddin from Biberach ensured the brilliant final result of 4:1 for the Biberach team.
The last fight against the rivals from KG Ulm/Elchingen was hard to beat in terms of excitement. Bernd lost the start in a close encounter. The 73 kg weight class was also lost and it was now up to the team’s morale to achieve the optimum. The turning point was reached by Ilja, who defeated his opponent prematurely with a hold. Arman also managed to equalize the score at 2-2 with a win through a hold. Now the entire pressure was on Daniel -73 kg. The man from Biberach confidently controlled his opponent and used a throwing technique to secure the early victory and the final result of 3:2.
