Ben Shelton Sets Record with 240 km/h Serve at US Open

240 km/h

Facing Tommy Paul in the round of 16, Ben Shelton twice served at 240 km/h (149 mph), the fastest serve in US Open history. “I almost tore my arm off and I actually lost my next two service games. Being able to vary speeds is really important. 149 is cool, but I’m not on the court chasing miles per hour. I look for efficiency in my service games,” he said.
