Aylu Judokas Shine at Senior Regional Championship with Silver and Bronze Medals

Plenary session for the Aylu judokas in the Senior Regional Championship held last Saturday in Talavera de la Reina. Adrian Albarran won the silver medal and Erick Yago, with the bronze one.

Two out of two for Ayulu de Guadalajara. For Adrián Albarrán from Yunquera, who has gotten hooked on judo after a break of several years, the silver medal is a good result, but he knows little about it. And he failed in his first fight, while he resolved the remaining two with complete solvency. Little by little he is gaining that mischief that is necessary to be a champion. Albarrán’s next appointment is on the 28th in the Spanish Cup in Madrid.

The other medal, the bronze, went to Erick Yago. He is a judoka who shows his pride in every fight. On this occasion he had the competitors who ultimately went gold and silver on the ropes. He marked both of them by two wazaris that either of them could have been ippon. But his rivals turned the fight around. Despite this, the bronze is a good result and the most important thing, according to Erick, in the Talavera quote “I had a great time.”

That is the most important thing, that the competitors continue to enjoy what they do and, if the results come, so much the better.
