ASVEL and Bourges managed their match on the 4th day of LFB perfectly, with respective victories over Tarbes and Charnay.

Finally a little smile from ASVEL! After its rout against Fenerbahce in the Euroleague (106-57), the French champion club took advantage of much less formidable adversity to return to victory. This Saturday during the 4th day of LFB, the Lyonnaises beat Tarbes (one victory, three defeats) with a score of 71-59, which allows them to have a balanced record (two victories, two defeats) . Still deprived of Marine Johannès (who is playing in the WNBA final with New York) and Gabby Williams (injured ankle), David Gautier’s players missed the end of the first quarter, which allowed the Tarbaises to win 14-17 , but they achieved the opposite in the second: while the score was 28-28, they signed a 10-0 to return to the locker room leading 38-28. The Lyonnaises managed to maintain their lead after the restart, the Tarbaises never coming back to less than five points in the third quarter. On the other hand, they came back to 58-57 in the last, but ASVEL responded strongly, with a 12-2 to finish the match and win. Against her former club, Marine Fauthoux shone, finishing with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, while the 24 points and 6 assists of Carla Leite, trained at ASVEL, were not enough for the Pyrenees.

Bourges unfolded

Bourges, for its part, signed a third victory in four games, winning at Charnay (one victory, three defeats) with a score of 63-79. The Berruyères, who shone this week in the Eurocup by scoring more than 100 points, were never behind during this match. They started with a 6-0, then the Burgundians came back to 11-11 before cracking at the end of the quarter (15-24). The Tango then played their basketball in the second quarter, achieving a 13-0 which allowed them to have a 22-point lead (17-39). A crippling gap for Charnay, who reached half-time 18 points behind (26-44), then returned to -10 in the third quarter (43-53) but never made the Bourges players tremble . Kayla Alexander and Sarah Michel-Boury both finished with 15 points for the Tango, while Carole Chabrier scored 13 for Charnay.
