ASF detects possible damages to the treasury for 5,788 million pesos in the Public Account 2022 – El Sol de México

The Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) detected possible damages to the treasury of 5,788 million pesos in the second installment of the 2022 Public Account, of which 4,667,673,000 pesos correspond to the exercise of federalized spending.

The head of the Superior Audit, David Colmenares, delivered this day to the Surveillance Commission of the Superior Audit of the Federation of the Chamber of Deputies the results report of the 541 audits carried out on the 2022 Public Account and explained that the majority of The possible damages to the public treasury are located in the federalized spending transferred to the 35 Polytechnic Universities, institutions of higher secondary and higher education in their technological-polytechnic aspect.

The auditor explained that the irregularities that were detected in the second part of the audit of the 2022 Public Account correspond to the payment of improper or unjustified remuneration to staff, lack of supporting or probative documentation of the expense, resources not delivered to those executed, irregularities and delays in the provision of resources or financial returns to the executing entities, resources used in concepts that do not meet the specific objectives of each fund or program and transfer of resources from other bank accounts.
